Colombo City Tour

Ebert Silva Holidays together with Ministry of Tourism and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority launching the first ever "Colombo City Tour" (CCT) on 24th January 2010 for the benefit of local and foreign tourists. This is operated with open Double Decker bus.

 Given the peace prevailing in Colombo city this is the time ideal to introduce the "Colombo City Tour". This tour will cover the places of interest as in the itinerary. A Double Decker bus made for this purpose has been provided by the Ceylon Transport Board to run the tour by Ebert Silva Holidays (Pvt.) Ltd.

The Internal Crews Ship Started Sailing ..

The largest passenger ship of the Navy, “Jetliner” which served as a life line between the North and East during the Humanitarian Operations, ventured out on a new journey at the launching ceremony of Jetliner Entertainment Cruise Venture at the Port of Colombo.
The launching of the ship was held in keeping with Naval traditions and customs. The Jetliner will set sail as a recreational cruise ship, holding onboard weddings, corporate events and other social functions. The ship is equipped to cater to the needs of the new clientele. It is manned by a well disciplined and highly trained professional Naval crew.
Minister of Tourism Achala Jagoda graced the occasion as the chief guest. He was received by Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe on his arrival. Ambassadors, Secretaries to the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Ports and Aviation, and foreign dignitaries were among the invitees.
The ship ferried thousands of security forces personnel, civilians and goods between Trincomalee and Kankesanthurai ports till the main ground supply routes were cleared and restored after the dawn of peace. It also holds the record for carrying more than three thousand security forces personnel in a single journey. A breathtaking fireworks display at sea enthralled the guests at the end of the function.
